Girls Lacrosse Equipment Purchasing Guide
For those starting out, knowing what equipment you need can be overwhelming! For girls lacrosse you need a mouthguard, WOMEN'S stick, and goggles. Cleats are highly recommended and soccer cleats work just fine.
How do I tell the difference between a girls stick and a boys stick?
You can see the ball over the sidewall when it's placed in a girls stick. A boys stick will have a deep pocket that the ball sinks into.

Sticks
For those at the high school or competitive middle school level. I highly recommend getting a high quality stick. These sticks are on the pricier side but are far superior and will last you at least 4 seasons. The more advanced sticks have much better design that actually makes a big difference when it comes to ease of play. Beginner sticks are actually harder to play with. The following sticks are the two I currently recommend:
(Beginning 2019 ALL sticks must be Black, White, or Grey for LCHS Teams)
Mouth Guard
These mouth guards are light weight yet effective and can be used with braces if you follow the instructions
Goggles
There are youth goggles and adult goggles, all are for females. Most girls 14+ wear adult and they are all adjustable. For those with a particularly small face, youth can work. Best to go to a store and try them if you're unsure. GOGGLES DO NOT FIT COMFORTABLY OVER EYEGLASSES!! If you can get a cheap small pair they may fit under or close fitted sports glasses. For HS level play it is best to look into contact lenses.
