Fall Lacrosse Academy for girls (4th-8th grade)
LCHS Head coach, Emily Mukai will lead a comprehensive fall academy program designed to quickly build upon lacrosse foundation.
The academy program will work to effectively build skill in the following areas:
Building game sense through short sided play
The program includes 3v3 and 5v5 box-style pick up games on Sundays in Burbank. These fast paced games give players increased opportunity to cement their skills while having fun playing. Pick up style allows for increased creativity and more touches on the ball which builds confidence and lax IQ.
Skill building with high reps and pace
Academy training will include two, one hour high-rep skill building sessions per week. These sessions are designed for efficiency and effectiveness and to get the most out of our time with our stick. Focus will be on mastering movements and then building speed.
Leadership development through personal growth
The program will also include leadership and personal development exercises to help prep for success at the high school level and beyond. Throughout the program, tools in communication, self-reflection, and team-building will be implemented.

Skill level: Some level of lacrosse experience is helpful, but if you’re excited and willing to learn beginners are welcome! There is some flexibility in level placement. If you’re a 6th grader with considerable experience you may move up to the 7\8 group. It’s completely up to what the player is comfortable with and will get the most out of. Please email [email protected] to discuss placement.
